Street Light Control – Innovative outdoor lighting management
With Street Light Control (SLC), OSRAM offers a system
for demand-oriented control and monitoring of individual
luminaires, up to thousands of light points. SLC thus
achieves a reduction in energy consumption, CO

Saves energy and reduces operational costs
Targeted dimming of sectors of the city, streets or
individual luminaires helps to prevent unnecessary
lighting. Thus SLC can be used to make effective and
consistent energy savings – up to 50 % per year.
Detailed analysis of the lighting system also leads to
considerable simplification of the maintenance planning.
Increases the flexibility of the lighting
The world is continuously changing, and thus also is the
structure of cities. Street Light Control can be used to
adapt the lighting of the area outdoors to these changes.
Individual luminaires can, at any time, be combined to
groups in a flexible manner for example according to
streets and pedestrian crossings.
Robust system architecture
Whether on streets, pathways or in industrial areas – one
must always be able to rely on the lighting. Of particular
importance is the resistance to voltage spikes and
the weather, along with the resulting communication
difficulties between the switchgear cabinet and the
luminaire. In this field, the Powerline technology that SLC
employs provides for the best possible functional security.

planning. The central element is the SLC Software, which
issued to manage the entire street lighting system via a
PC or smartphone.
